Welcome to Tales from the Stroud Files

I am a Seattle-based writer with a lifelong love of the kinds of stories you used to find on wire racks at drugstores and tucked into the corners of secondhand shops. Spaceships, swords, monsters, and the occasional shadowy alleyway, I love 'em all. After years of reading paperbacks late into the night and watching every sci-fi and fantasy film I could get my hands on, I decided it was time to try my own hand at telling a few stories of my own.

When I'm not writing, you can usually find me haunting local coffee shops, hiking short city trails with friends, or browsing used bookstores in search of forgotten pulps and dog-eared paperbacks. I live with a cat who insists on walking across the keyboard at the worst possible times, and the constant overcast and rain that I see as a creative aid rather than a nuisance.

 

I write across genres (science fiction, fantasy, urban fantasy, you name it!) with an eye toward those familiar tropes that we all love and the small twists that make them feel fresh again. My stories are equal parts pulp grit and modern heart, written for anyone who still enjoys the thrill of an adventure well-told.
