Welcome to the Stroud Files

Alright, here goes nothing. I have been meaning to start a blog for a while now, someplace to talk about pulp adventures, rainy-day musings, and whatever else comes to mind.

So, hi. I am Jack Stroud.

I live in Seattle, read way too many paperbacks, and watch probably more movies than is healthy. Always loved the old pulp stuff you used to see on drugstore racks. Spaceships, swords, monsters. Comfort food. And I finally decided I should probably try writing a few of my own.

Right now I am noodling on a story idea that might be something, or maybe it fizzles out, who knows. Working title is Project Lasersword. It is kinda sci-fi, kinda political, kinda just me chasing after the stories I grew up on. If it actually turns into a book, or a series even, that would be pretty wild. But I am not getting ahead of myself yet.

For now, this blog will be me dropping in every so often with short reviews of stuff I am reading or watching, a few updates on whatever I am writing, and maybe just a slice-of-life thing here and there. (Rain, cats, and coffee will probably show up often.)

So yeah, thanks for stopping by. This should definately be fun.
